Dave Van Roekel began his 2nd stint at KILR in September of 1997. Dave serves as the stations Sports Director and Morning Disc Jockey. Dave is called upon to deliver play by play broadcast on nearly 100 athletic contests each year. Dave loves the competition and the life lessons athletics gives to young athletes, and he enjoys calling the games. Dave's hobbies include playing a little golf, and of course following his favorite college and pro sports teams. Dave's wife Lynae is a part time employee at KILR and they have three children and two grandsons. Their oldest daughter Natalie and her husband Andy live in Gruver with their two sons Keegan 8 and Liam 3. Their son Tyler calls Estherville home, while their youngest daughter Whitney calls Dakota Dunes home.
